Program Learning Outcomes

Upon the successful completion of the Program students will be able to:

    • Acquire in depth knowledge at postgraduate level in Marine Science and Technology Management
    • Comprehend, manage, and make decisions on critical administrative and financial issues related to the operation of shipping companies.
    • Understand issues related to the modern developments in the fields of management and technology in shipping.
    • Contribute to the economic development of the Greek economy and Greek businesses in the fields of shipping and port related activities.
    • Pursue doctoral level studies in the areas of Maritime Management and Technology.
    • Enhance the cooperation between the Academic Community, the Armed Forces, organizations and businesses aiming at the dissemination of the acquired knowledge during their studies at the Program.
    • Gather, process, analyze and interpret maritime data aiming at formulating reflections and judgments on economic, administrative, strategic, financial and technological issues related to the maritime industry.

Upon the successful completion of the Program, students will acquire advanced skills and knowledge at both theoretical and applied levels on issues related to maritime economics, data mining, risk analysis, information systems in shipping, management of shipping companies, supply chain management, ports, navigation and telecommunications systems, energy management and ship maintenance.
